The Cottolengo Home for Special Needs Children in Arequipa, Peru had an unusual COVID-19 request for the PAMS Auxiliary. The Cottolengo Home needed a refrigerator for their 30 residents, who range from infants to teenagers. Caretakers used to go to the market everyday, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, and the risk of infecting their residents, those grocery trips were nolonger possible. The PAMS Auxiliary donated a commercial refrigerator and freezer to the Cottolengo Home. Now, there will be less trips to the market, and decrease the risk of COVID-19 transmission to all.
